Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, is likely to stick with his proven starting lineup for the Africa Cup of Nations final against Ivory Coast on Sunday.
In a positive development, Zaidu Sanusi has returned to training after missing the semi-final penalty shootout against South Africa due to injury. The FC Porto wingback is expected to reclaim his spot in Peseiro’s starting XI.
The attacking trio is set to feature Victor Osimhen, supported by the tournament’s top scorer Ademola Lookman and Simon Moses.
Peseiro’s favoured 3-4-3 formation is likely to include William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey providing defensive cover for goalkeeper Nwabali.
With Sanusi’s return, Aina will revert to his natural wing, and the midfield is expected to be anchored by Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka
The eagerly awaited final kicks off at 9 pm WAT.
